What's wrong with the scorpion. It was never meant to gank other ships. It's the only BS that can render 3+ enemy BS useless withing the second it enters battle. Use it like it was meant to use or get yourself another ship.

For NPCing you can mount 200mm rails + armor tank. It does fit i tried. For PvP i'd use blasters. Just stay away from dual 150mm's and shield tanking. Worst you can do to that ship.

IMO this is what seperates eve from all the other MMORPGs. No other game can cause that adrenaline rush within me. CS - you die and respawn - big deal eh?. WOW - same deal. Here you catually can loose something wich is what causes this adrenaline ...

I had a sansha officer despawn on me allready and i did NOT take on the escort. The officer despawned while i had him half in armor. Corp mate was with me and saw it too. He didn't jump into another belt or to a gate either. :(

256/64 should be enough even for fleet battle. It's the servers that start to lag at some point - not the users bandwith. You'll be fine.
